In 2022, Arval Netherlands acquired Terberg Lease Groep, strengthening its position in the Dutch market. Following the successful integration, the newly formed team of more than 500 employees aims to further establish Arval Netherlands as a frontrunner in sustainable mobility. As HR Director, you will play a crucial role in this journey by attracting diverse talent, promoting the company's values-driven culture, and aligning HR strategies with business objectives. As a member of the Executive Committee, you will act as a true business leader, encouraging leadership and talent development and working on strategic workforce planning as an active contributor to the development of the organization. Het aanbod:

  • Gross annual salary up to € 124.000,- including 8% holiday allowance, based on 40-hours
  • A 40-hour workweek with the flexibility to occasionally work from home
  • Individual bonus scheme up to 1,5 gross monthly salary on annual basis (on target), along with a collective variable numeration

Jouw profiel:

  • Bachelor’s or preferably Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in HR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in professional or financial services within international, matrix organizations
  • Proven track record in change management, leadership and organization development
  • Excellent leadership and management skills of managing HR and payroll teams
  • Experience in collaborating with multiple workers councils and leading negotiations
  • Strong understanding of HR operations and the ability to lead teams to flawlessly execute HR fundamentals
  • Experience in managing complex mid to large-sized projects within HR
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, French is an advantage

De functie

In 2022, Arval Netherlands announced the acquisition of the family owned Terberg Lease Group, a full-service leasing company with a strong position in the Dutch private leasing market and a well-developed, leading e-commerce platform. The integration of the two organizations was successfully completed in 2023. More than 200 employees of the former Terberg Lease Group and the nearly 300 employees of Arval Netherlands are now working together to achieve the goal of making Arval Netherlands one of the most prominent and sustainable mobility providers in the country. 

Although Arval Netherlands is in a favourable position, the market remains challenging and dynamic. The organization is therefore focused on serving its customers through highly motivated, hardworking, and committed employees. In your role as HR Director, you will contribute to this by attracting and retaining talent with a keen eye for diversity. As an ambassador of the organization's values, you will create a culture in which these values are strongly represented. You will also demonstrate a deep understanding of the needs of the business and its customers and use your position to contribute to a high-performance culture. You promote an entrepreneurial mindset where employees and leaders are mutually reinforcing and fully empowered. In all your activities, your focus is on the joint achievement of company-wide goals. 

You will lead a team of 11 team members: a Lead HR Business Partner, 4 HR Business Partners, a Recruitment Coordinator and a Recruiter, a Support Lead and 3 Support/Payroll staff who provide support in areas such as Compensation & Benefits, Data Management and general HR support. You will report to the General Manager of Arval Netherlands (direct report) and to the Regional HR Director for BENELUX & DACH based in Germany (dotted line). You are member of the Executive Committee of Arval Netherlands.
