Datamaran comes from humble beginnings with an idea developed by 3 founding members in the East End of London. Just 8 years later the company has erupted into a key player in the field of ESG. With new investors on board Datamaran is entering a new phase which requires a crucial role of the VP of People. Datamaran is therefore looking for an open-minded VP of People that will set the people strategy to support the ambitious business growth while growing the workforce sustainably and effectively, from 90 to possibly 300 team-members in 3 years. A strong people manager who is passionate about fostering good relationships across the organization. You will be part of the global leadership team.

Het aanbod:

  • Base salary between € 100.000 - € 120.000 (with room for growth).
  • The flexibility to work 100% remotely.
  • Regular travelling between the various locations in Valencia, London, New York and The Netherlands (Location is not yet known. The north of the Netherlands seems most likely).
  • Year-end bonus.
  • Stock options (optional).

Jouw profiel:

  • 8+ years of experience across all elements of people strategy and operations, preferably in SaaS and/or tech company;
  • 3+ years leading a team;
  • worked with global and distributed teams;
  • worked cross-functionally;
  • understanding of working in a multi-cultural environment;
  • fluent in English.

De functie:

This is the first time that Datamaran is looking to make a dedicated hire for this area at this strategic level. Until now, strategic people-matters have been dealt with directly by the co-founders (on many occasions informed by board discussions) where operational hr-matters are dealt with by a small hands-on team.

Datamaran is at the key moment where it is getting ready to scale. After 8 years of building the product and developing a strong client network globally, Datamaran is ready to go faster and reach critical mass. 

A key priority is that you make sure that the company values are widely understood and role-modelled by leaders so they can cascade throughout the organization. A main challenge will be to continue to reap the benefits of an entrepreneurial spirit while putting necessary processes in place to enable scale.
